1. My after dinner Americano, perfect finish, shame I wasn’t able to fit in the petit fours, but at least I had all the coffee sweets…all but one white chocolate almond!

  2. Pollen Street Social - overlooking the dessert bar and lights…

  3. In the bar at Pollen Street Social before dinner…with my new Canon!

  4. Drinks at the bar before dinner, some unusual cocktails! This is a kumquat liqueur based one…which was rather refreshing!

  5. Polite amuse bouche…a basket of warm bread comes along…you pick one…real butter, queen olives, one mustard dip and another aioli-like dip, and pork Scratchings! who would have thought!…Resist!!!…a second offer of bread just in case out appetites are ruined! A

  6.

  7. Tartare of fallow deer, pickled beetroot and broken eye sauce…genius I say to the sauce and one fine deer I say to the tartare…

  8. Scallop ceviche, cucumber, radish, yuzu soy dressing and finely cut apple. My favourite dish in terms of presentation and flavour…delicate flavours tuned to harmonious perfection…unforgettable!

  9. Rack of salt marsh lamb, braised shoulder, creamed spiced aubergine, savoury and black olive reduction. Apart from the artichoke which was a fraction away from being spat out in disdain…scrumptious and cooked to perfection

  10. In a most elegant way, my black Angus rib-eye steak sliced, ox-tail, charred egg plant purée with smoked potatoes effortlessly but strategically piled on my plate…

  11. Oh my wonderful black Angus medium-rare rib eye…on a pile of thyme…next to my main plate! Brilliant!

  12. Palate cleanser…which most definitely was a collective fairy-liquid-like taste…but then when you put all three layers of flavours, textures and temperatures together…definitely can taste lychee…somewhere…

  13.

  14. The best thing about this is the amazing black magic box the waiter swings around…first he lets me choose a mini macaron…which I of course choose the Japanese blossom…fragrant, soft, crisp…it’s all there. Then I choose my chocolate, of course again I choose the hazelnut…velvety, dreamy praline. Last of all I am given four white chocolate almonds…creamy, crunchy and nutty. Oh a heavenly combo for the americano I had thought I’d so simply ordered…

  15. Traditional English Goat’s milk rice pudding, hay ice-cream with lime jelly…I love it that they serve the cold and hot separately, so I can taste them individually and as a couple…never will rice pudding and dried mangos with ice-cream be the same again…only criticism…why the coriander!!!! Worse nightmare!!!!
